Meeting was called to order at 19:35 with 23 present.   We have a quorum.

Julio was not present tonight and Miguel presided over the meeting and welcomed everyone. The meeting was not broadcast live on the air tonight from the EOC.   There was no testing being conducted tonight. Everyone took turns and stated their name, call sign, and a ham project they did the last month.   Miguel welcomed everyone again.

Miguel spoke about his visit to Ojus Elementary School for their Youth Crime Watch and Science Club.  Miguel, Julio and Branden all attended.  Miguel gave a presentation on talking on the radio.  Ray asked if anyone knew where Ojus came from.  It means north of Miami.  Dave advised that AT&T was there and that every long distance call went through that building.  It was a very important part of South Florida communications.  It was also a Coast Guard listening site with a giant antenna that could turn.

The minutes were posted on the website.  A motion to accept the minutes as posted was made by Dave, seconded by Armando.

Armando announced that the next Ham class will be in January 2016.
