Old Business:

David spoke about the MS Bike ride.  It’s a two day event on March 1 and 2nd. He needs volunteers.  The bike ride goes from FIU to Key Largo on Saturday and then from Key Largo back to FIU on Sunday.  He needs operators to sign-up.  Also, David is riding himself in the MS Bike ride.  He needs to collect $350.00 worth of sponsorships to ride.  He only has $100.00 so far.  Anyone interested in sponsoring David can see him tonight or go to the website.  They also take credit cards.  He cannot ride unless he collects $350.00.  Several members gave him money.

New Business:

Julio announced that the Hamboree 2014 went alright.  We did not get the number of people that we wanted.  We are looking to change the venue for next year.  If you know of a venue, please let us know.  So far Harris Field in Homestead; MilanderPark in Hialeah and a park in Sweetwater were discussed.  The Fair Grounds are too expensive.  The Club did receive $200.00 back from them.

Julio announced that we are having a raffle tonight for an assortment of batteries.  Tickets are $1.00 each.  David won one set and John won the other.

Dave announced that we administered 18 exams at the Hamboree.  Out of the 18 exams, 17 were successful.  There were 4 new generals and the others were all techs.  Tonight we have 1 General and 1 Extra.  Congratulations to all of them!

Virgil gave us a show and tell on a roll of LED lights and how they can be put into a strip.  Thank you Virgil.

Julio asked if there was any other new or old business. There was none.

Julio thanked everyone for coming.

Esther made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Luis.  The DRC meeting was adjourned at 19:59.
