Julio called meeting to order at 19:34.

 

Julio presided over the meeting and welcomed everyone. The meeting was not broadcast live on the air tonight from the EOC. There is testing being conducted. Everyone took turns and stated their name and call sign. 

 

Reading of the Minutes – No minutes were taken.

 

Secretary – Joanne is not present, nothing to report.

 

Corresponding Secretary – Nothing to report.

 

Treasurer’s Report – Lee reported 4 people paid membership via PayPal ($299 in PayPal account)

 

Website – Website is still a

 

Club Elmer – Miguel is not present, nothing to report.

 

PIO – Dani has nothing to report.

 

EBC Freedom Ride – Jason reported on the Freedom ride. It was held two weekends ago. The Everglades Bicycle Club put the event on and the wounded warriors were the beneficiary. There were approximately 6 amateur radio operators participating in the event. Jason was the Net Control. 

 

Florida State Parks on the Air – Alain (not present) participated.

 

SkyWarn Training – Next training is June 1st from 10:00 to 2:00 PM. This is a storm spotter training. Visit www.weather.gov/skywarn for more info.

 

HurricaneChecklist.com – Ray explained the website.

 

Repeater Update:

147.000 – Jason stated there might be an alternative way to access the tower.

146.760 – Ray stated there is no change.

444.200 – Merritt has reported the repeater is the way it was prior to the MS event. The breaker tripped, but it was reset.

D-Star – No info reported, no one is sure if the D-Star is up and running. Ryan handles the IT portion.

 

Emergency Committee Chair – Lloyd stated there will be a special presentation next month.

 

Net Manager – Brandon stated we will continue the regular schedule. The updated

 

Presentation – Ray presented about signal to noise ratio.

 

Old Business – The Hambulance needs to be moved ASAP. Lloyd has reported that there has been a directive to have the Hambulance moved to “The North Shop”. Jason and Merritt plan to strip the Hambulance so it can be sold.

 

New Business – Lloyd reported that awhile ago Miami Dade County RACES was separated into two groups. However is stating that by the end of this week, it is possible that there will be a unification of the two parties.

 

Testing – It was reported that there is 1 new Tech. Congrats!
